I have a Kirby with the carpet shampoo system & i’m curious if anyone has tried using it to clean linoleum floors? Basically, i’m hoping it could replace mopping our large den area that’s linoleum flooring. I’m fine with the idea of laying the foam down & sucking up as much as possible then leaving the residue to dry on its own.

So, we have lived in our house for about 13 years. All original carpet. It’s kind of a light gray color. It is not nasty and all stained up but it has the obvious gross coloring from high traffic and it isn’t fluffy like new carpet. I rented the Rug Doctor but did not buy any carpet shampoo yet. Can anyone suggest any ideas to really get my carpet clean and fluffy!!?? I know that the only way to make it look new again is to replace it but I don’t want to spend the money right now. I heard using vinegar in the Rug doctor instead of expensive cleaner worked really good. But I am not sure how much vinegar to use with the hot water, does anyone know or does anyone have some good cheap ideas…let me know???!!! thank you

We lived in a one bedroom apartment for a year, and we aren’t smokers so it didn’t smell, no pets either. Our carpet was spotless on move out because we NEVER wore shoes on carpet area. Never spilled anything. Our deposit was 0 and we just received a letter from the apartments that we owe them 0 more because of cleaning fees and carpet cleaning since we didn’t shampoo the carpet. I live in WA- is there any laws that are on my side?

My carpet needs a good cleaning, but I am afraid that by shampooing the carpet, the wetness will ruin my hardwood floors underneath..

I can’t afford to shampoo this filthy old basement carpet. Other than just letting baking soda sit, is there any way I can shampoo/deep clean it with products I already have? There are soda and mold stains everywhere and it smells. :/

I am looking to shampoo my carpet but don’t want to splash out on an expensive cleaner. Is there like a spray or can of powder or something I can buy and use myself at home to clean my carpet?
