    does anyone know if there are any carpet steam cleaners (that actually work good) on the market that you do not need to use a chemical cleaning solution in addition to the steam. I have a baby, so there are constantly messes, ie) spit up and pee getting on to my carpets. I want to clean them, however do not want to use any chemicals that he will come in contact with when on the floor.

    I need a combination hardwood floor and carpet steam cleaner/scrubber. Does any one have a good recommendation for this? I have 2 cats and I don’t want to buy 2 separate units.     I have a Kirby with the carpet shampoo system & i’m curious if anyone has tried using it to clean linoleum floors? Basically, i’m hoping it could replace mopping our large den area that’s linoleum flooring. I’m fine with the idea of laying the foam down & sucking up as much as possible then leaving the residue to dry on its own.

    what is the best product to take out ground in dirt and pet messes
    my carpet is supposed to be green….its black in a majority of spots, and hard in other spots!

    i mean it doesnt have to be like 100 percent every stain taken out
    just so it doesnt look so nasty, and i can actually have people over without them thinking im a slob,
    because im the complete opposite.

    my fiancee and and dont have the money right now to have all the carpet replaced
    and the previous owners (his family) obviously didnt care about the carpet, or cleaning for that matter.

    any help would be much appreciated.

    We have had the steam cleaner for about 2 years now. It has always been fine, until my husband put bleach in the tank (not the bladder) while it was not in use. Now, I don’t know if that is the issue, but every since then, it won’t work. No matter what setting I have it on, it will not spray water out and when it did for about 5 minutes, no soap would come out. Did the bleach ruin the tank or could there be another problem. BTW, only the attachment works, but even it will not spray the soap.

    I’m in need of a carpet cleaner for home use. Heavy stains on the carpet seem to be a reoccuring nightmare. I hired some local steam cleaners to come out and do the carpets and they looked great but it was like 125 bucks. What’s a good model to get and where at? Regular carpet shampooer or steam?
