my dog has parvo virus and the only way to get rid of the virus is to use bleach. we are going to spray bleach on the back yard but i am afraid it is on my carpet as well the virus will live up to 6 months on any surface and i have two other healthy dogs. i do not want them to get sick. i was thinking of using my steam cleaner and putting very little bleach to water solution. would this work? i dont want to mess up my steam cleaner its still pretty new and i payed alot for it. but on the other hand i HAVE to get the virus out of my house. i have already bleached everything else in the house but the carpets. (also the dog with parvo was an outside dog but the day before we found out he had it we had him inside. he drooled on stuff and peed a little on the carpet.)
does anyone know if there is a product i could buy with bleach in it to maybe spray on my carpets or would it be ok to just spray a water bleach mix on them my actual vacum is cheap so if i break that while vacuming over some kind of bleach solution it doesnt matter

Wireless mouse leaked some battery acid and I didn’t notice it right away. Theres a small orange crusty spot in the carpet now, it is small enough that I was thinking of just cutting it out of the carpet but is there a better way?

I have 3 children and a ’somewhat’ house trained puppy. My carpets are a mess. I am looking for one that heats the water and has a stair attachment. I have read good and bad about the bissel proheat model and I really don’t know of another brand to look at. Modest priced, please. What should I look for and what should I avoid? Thanks.

I am trying to take an old dirty room in my house that currently serves as storage space into an office space. The only problem is the smell. It is horrible, it smells like any old room would, with gallons of urine and old food thrown into the mix. We used to have a dog and two kids that would spend all their time up there. My question is How Do I get rid of stains and smells that are years old out of my carpet? I had a professional steam cleaner come in, and even that wasnt enough. The smell was gone untill the next hot day, then it came back full force. It is very embarrasing to have people over, my home is pretty clean and neat untill you get to that room. I think the stains are ash, very black and dirty looking that would make anyone think twice before taking your shoes off to walk across. Any help would be appreciated, but please understand that I have been trying for a while and have used shampoos and hired a pro, nothing seems to work.

So, we have lived in our house for about 13 years. All original carpet. It’s kind of a light gray color. It is not nasty and all stained up but it has the obvious gross coloring from high traffic and it isn’t fluffy like new carpet. I rented the Rug Doctor but did not buy any carpet shampoo yet. Can anyone suggest any ideas to really get my carpet clean and fluffy!!?? I know that the only way to make it look new again is to replace it but I don’t want to spend the money right now. I heard using vinegar in the Rug doctor instead of expensive cleaner worked really good. But I am not sure how much vinegar to use with the hot water, does anyone know or does anyone have some good cheap ideas…let me know???!!! thank you
