We have had the steam cleaner for about 2 years now. It has always been fine, until my husband put bleach in the tank (not the bladder) while it was not in use. Now, I don’t know if that is the issue, but every since then, it won’t work. No matter what setting I have it on, it will not spray water out and when it did for about 5 minutes, no soap would come out. Did the bleach ruin the tank or could there be another problem. BTW, only the attachment works, but even it will not spray the soap.

Unfortunately i have brand new white/cream colored carpet . I spilled half of a can of Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry which, due to my numerous attempts to remove, is now the size of a dinner plate. I do have resolve, and it has worked great up until this impossible stain. Immediately after the spill i soaked up as much as possible, then followed the resolve directions exactly. No difference. Tried a second application, still no luck. After rummaging through my house i came across Oxy Clean. Followed those directions to a T and- you guessed it- still no luck. PLEASE HELP
options i have considered so far:
-Solvent cleaner
-Renting a steam/commercial carpet cleaning machine
-Trial and error with every type of carpet cleaner i can find
-Hiring a professional
Thank you all in advance!

have a Bissell Pro Heat deep cleaning carpet cleaner. I also have pets, which means even after running a sweeper, there’s still a certain amount of dog hair in the carpet.
I was steam cleaning the carpet, and a clump of wet dog hair got sucked into the Pro Heat, and the motor sound got "muffled". I took off the clear window on the front and cleaned it, but could not find the glob of dog hair that is slowing it down.
Is there a way to clear the hose or whatever part that the dog hair clump is stuck?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

So, i have heard a few people say they use vinegar with hot water in their steam cleaner to clean their carpets and that is it? Ok, can it be that easy. I love vinegar and use it to clean alot in my house, but just wondering how it would work in a steam cleaner. If anyone has tried how much vinegar did you use. I just hate the idea of the chemical cleaners, so if you have any other solutions beside vinegar that isn’t chemically that’d be great too..

Hi,
I am located here in Sydney and moving out of a rented apartment. The new owner wants to move in so we have to evacuate. We just got told from the real estate agent that we will need to hire steam cleaner (for carpets) and a apartment cleaner (never heard of this one before). I was just wondering if it’s the owner’s, who sold the apartment, responsibility to clean the place up for the new buyer. I am ok with carpet cleaning as I know few people who have had this done..but I have never heard of hiring an apartment cleaner too. Is this the norm? I was going to clean the apartment myself before moving out anyway.

When I first got my dog I made the mistake of not starting her off in a crate when we left the house, we’d just leave her in the bedroom (which is a fully burber style carpeted room).
Well, she had accidents, and while we always promptly cleaned them up, it is carpet so we didn’t get it all and it got ground in.
We have rented a steam cleaner several times and the carpet LOOKS clean, but then we start walking on it again and it gets all brownish patchy looking.
Would it be worth it to hire a carpet cleaning service to come clean the carpet? Or is it a lost cause?

i steam cleaned the carpets in the house to get ready for thanksgiving. everything went fine except my son’s room. After I steam cleaned it, it smells like dog pee!!!! I put powder carpet cleaner for pet odors on it last night for an hour then vaccumed and it still smells. I can’t "spot treat" b/c i have no idea where this is coming from. I have the ceiling fan on and the windows open, I put a bowl of vinegar in the room this morning to try to remove some of the odor. Any other ideas?
