I am looking for a good steam carpet cleaner that will do stairs and upholstery. Does any one know of a good one to buy at reasonable price?

I have a cat that had fleas and some birds that will die if I use hair spray too close to them and a fish tank. I really don’t want to use a flea bomb.

I know to wash bedding and clean upholstery.

I want one to clean carpets & upholstery (including the car)Looking for one that is economical. I have two children and a dog. I’m more interested in one that steam cleans in lieu of one with "Brushes" or "rollers".

I hired a carpet/uphostery cleaner and he said that because it’s stuffed with foam, it can’t be cleaned appropriately. He said it would leave the fabric darker. (It’s beige) He said I had to use upholstery cleaner that sprays foam so fabric won’t get wet. I tried it and it didn’t do a thing. The cusions can be removed so they’re not a problem but the head rests are plump and filled with same stuffing and can’t be removed and the frame could also use a cleaning. Has anyone ever resolved a problem like this?
I’ll try all your recomendations in the next week. I’ll let you know which worked best, thanks.

My Hoover steam carpet cleaner will not suck up water. When I use the upholstery attachment ,then it will suck the water. I have tried taking the tanks off and realigning them. I took the top off where the brushes are and nothing is clogged . This is a little older model, probably about 6 yrs and the tanks are located on both sides. It will dispense water.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you
don’t know why it would suck water thru the upholstery hose when I put it on and not take up water when it’s not on there. doesn’t it all go in the same hose ? Thank you for your answer.
